Workout Playlist #36

1) Beyonce – Crazy in Love

Starting it off old school!

2) Pat Benatar – Hit Me With Your Best Shot

A classic power anthem with strong female vocals and a rollicking guitar line.

3) Styx – Renegade

This song starts out slowly, but when the harmony comes in you will probably have an eargasm, and after that it picks up quickly.

4) Metallica – Wherever I May Roam

Metallica has the most brutal drumlines around, and pairs them with awesome lyrics. You can’t not love it.

5) Staind – For You

One of the best songs of the early 00’s. Unlike a lot of alt-metal, it bears you up on a dependable beat and tames your ear with a melodic guitar line.

6) The Who – Baba O’Riley

You totally thought this song was called “Teenage Wasteland” until just now.

7) Foo Fighters – Let It Die

Like many of FF’s songs, this one starts out tantalizingly gentle and builds to a crescendo of amped-up bass and frantic cymbals.

8) Atmosphere – Puppets

This is a rhythmically pulsing hymn from one of my favorite hip hop collabs.

9) System of a Down – Chop Suey

WAKEUP! FMNKJPCFDNSUNVDJSNFKJBMAKEUP!

10) U2 – Mysterious Ways

I always like to end on a feel-good note. Now go, and move in mysterious ways!
